Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, or SNAP, is the name for food stamps. In Michigan, the program is also referred to as the Bridge Card. Those who meet income eligibility requirements are provided with a set amount of money each month to assist with food purchases.

When you use your SNAP/EBT Bridge Card, the amount of money that you spend is matched with Double Up Food Bucks, up to $20 and applies to fruits and vegetables grown in Michigan.
This program provides $2 to spend on fresh fruits and vegetables for every $2 you spend with your SNAP/EBT/Bridge Card or Pandemic EBT Card. To use Double Up Food Bucks, you must have an active EBT/Bridge Card.
No additional applications are necessary, just use your Bridge Card at any of our market locations.

The Senior Farmers Market Nutrition Program, known as Senior Project FRESH/Market FRESH in Michigan, provides older adults who qualify, with unprocessed, Michigan-grown products from authorized farmers markets and roadside stands throughout Michigan. Qualified older adults and Wisewoman participants receive coupons that are used to purchase Michigan-grown produce.
Eligible senior citizens receive $25 in $2 Senior Project Fresh Coupons that can be used to purchase fresh fruits and vegetables from vendors at our market. Participating vendors are recognized by “senior project fresh/market fresh coupons accepted here” signs.
Residents who are age 60 or older with a total household income of $22,459 or less for an individual, or $30,451 for a couple, are eligible to apply for themhart@coppershores.org program.

Patients of Aspirus Health should reach out to their providers to see if they qualify for this program. Patients who participate in this program receive a $20 voucher from their healthcare provider, which can then be redeemed at all From the Ground markets for $20 in tokens. These tokens can be spent to purchase various fresh foods.

Much like the Aspirus Prescrition for Health program, the UP CAP Food as Medicine offers patients of Upper Great Lakes Family Health who qualify, funds to purchase healthy food.
Patients receive $15/week of coupons , each valued at $1, in the mail that can be spent at From the Ground Farmers Markets for food items.

This UPCAP program offers qualifying UP Food as Medicine participants $25 coupons per month. These can be exchanged for FTG tokens at our markets, or directly with qualifying farmers.
